Celebrating our Lab Highlights from WCPG 2026

Last week, many members of the lab traveled to Glasgow to attend and present at the 2026 WCPG conference!

Sandra delivered a talk titled "A Multivariate Genomic Analysis Places Problematic Gambling within a General Addiction Liability" and chaired an oral session on the genetics of addiction and substance use disorders. She also chaired a symposium on prescription opioids, where Jean gave a talk titled "Prescription Opioid Genetics Study (POGS): Initial Response to Opioids Predicts Opioid Use Disorder" and Ellen presented "Genome-Wide Association Study of Opioid Use Disorder and Long-Term Opioid Exposure Reveals 62 Loci and Genetic Overlap With Pain".

Laura presented a poster titled "Multivariate Genomic Analysis of Smoking Behaviors Reveals Shared Liability and Novel Biology", while Hayley presented "Dissecting the Independent Genetics and Neurobiology of Schizophrenia and Cannabis Use".
